Radio Controlled Off Road

Radio Gear

:: Always turn the transmitter “on” before the vehicle, and turn it “off” after the vehicle.
:: Never shorten the receiver antenna wire by cutting it, unless instructed by your owners manual. This will severely deteriorate the performance of your radio equipment.
::
:: Fixing Glitches
:: Anything metal (buildings, fences, ect.) can reflect your transmitters signal causing glitches. Try moving around on the driver’s stand.
:: Strong CB transmissions may interfere with the 27 MHz band, and paging frequencies may interfere with the 75 MHz band.
:: Make sure you have capacitors on your motor.
:: Mount the receiver where the crystal is away from the batteries.
:: Keep the antenna away from battery and motor wires.
:: If you use a graphite chassis, elevate the receiver at least 3/16″ above the chassis or mount it on its side with the crystal up.
:: Keep your motor and battery wires away from the receiver.
:: Check for loose connectors: radio gear, battery plug, motor plug, ect.
:: Try another frequency to see if the crystals may be bad.
:: Try a different servo.
:: Check the voltage from the speed control to the receiver for a minimum of 4.8volts with a Volt meter. Check the red and black wires. The maximum should be 6 volts.
